40!!
Yep, yesterday I celebrated my fourtieth birthday! I can NOT believe I'm that old. However, life has never been better. Big ol hugs and kisses to those who love me and have allowed me to live to see another birthday, haha!
Andy suprised me by taking the day off yesterday. He took Sarah, Max, and myself out to breakfast at Elmers, then to get a massage, then to Ikea for a new dining table and chairs, then home where he watched the kids while I went to the LSS to fondle ribbon and spend money. He's so good to me. :D
Linda (God bless that girl, I just love her!) stopped by at 9am with a super awesome gift - RIBBON, rub ons, a pillow, and a Starbucks GC. :D What a fabulous surprise!
Cheryl mailed me the most BEAUTIFUL APRON and a bunch of ribbons (sensing a theme here??).
Gina mailed me a beautiful GINA card. (sshhhhh, don't tell anyone, but I think GINA CARDS might be my favorite!)
And Kristin sent me not only a box full of scrapping goodies AND pc recipe books, but also a FIFTY dollar gc for Itunes. Kristin ROCKS!
Life has never been better and I'm loving each day, despite the senility that prevents me from remembering them!!!
I'm busy with housework and party prep for this weekend, but I promise pictures of the new apron, dining room, and all that good stuff next week. :D

Here is a letter I'm working on sending out for my upcoming FOURTIETH birthday. Can't believe I'm going to be so old!!! This year has been amazing so far - so many cool things going on: Sarah will start Kinder in the fall, Andy and I will celebrate TEN years of marital {{survival}} and I'm turning FOURTY. Goodness, time flies.

Dear Friend,
It has been a very reflective time for me lately as I approach my 40th birthday this May. I’m trying to take better care of myself, my home, and my family and focus on things that are important to me. I have thought and thought until my thinker was sore about how to celebrate my birthday. I don’t really need anything; I have a wonderful home, clean clothes that fit, and enough scrapbook paper to keep me scrapping for years, I’m sure. But birthdays are a time for wishes, and I’ve come up with two. Even with all of my blessings, I would be thrilled if you would join me in celebrating my birthday in two unique ways.
My first wish! We all get to celebrate our aging with the MAMMOGRAM. While we make fun of how “comfy” it is to get one, the truth is, we are blessed with technology the previous generation did not have access to. For my 40th birthday, my first wish is for your good health. Please call your health care provider and make an appointment for a mammogram. It means a lot to me that you take care of yourself. You deserve GOOD THINGS!
Now, my second wish! I was looking around my kitchen and realized that the utensils, cooking ware, gadgets, and gizmos that I bought when I moved out of my parents’ house 22 years ago are well loved but well worn. Recently, I’ve begun buying a nice thing or two for my kitchen every month, and in doing so, I’ve fallen in love with Pampered Chef products! These are so well made and well thought out—but you probably already know this, since I was the LAST girl on the block to figure it out! I’ve signed up through my good friend, Kristen, to host an online or “catalog” show for the months of April and May. So for my 40th birthday, my second wish is for you to buy YOURSELF something wonderful from Pampered Chef through these April and May shows. The more you treat yourself, the more you treat me for my birthday since I earn goodies through your purchases!
... email me for the link... type in Melissa Fey as your host! The first “Melissa Fey” will allow you to order the May specials. Each guest product you purchase gives $1 to support Help Whip Cancer® through the American Cancer Society. The second “Melissa Fey” listed will allow you to order under the April specials (the Herb Keeper OR the Measure, Mix and Pour FREE with a $60 purchase). The April order deadline is April 30th, the May orders by May 20th. If you live locally, you may have your order delivered to me, and I’ll bring it to you!
Please email me at fey{{nospam}}melissa@yahoo.com and tell me you made your appointment to “get squished.” I would love nothing more than to be inundated with emails on May 8th all wishing me a “squishy birthday!” J I have signed up as a Pampered Chef Consultant so that I can continue to outfit my kitchen in style (and at a discount—you know how I love a good deal!). If you would like to receive a monthly email with info about the monthly specials, please email or call to let me know. I won’t inundate you with sales pitches or calls (and you know that’s not my style!), but I know that many of you LOVE their products, so if you want to keep up with the “Deal of the Month,” I would love for you to join me on my journey.
Thank you for blessing me with your love and friendship and for being part of the BEST time of my life!
